Scope and controller

This policy explains how Cookify processes personal data through the Cookify mobile app and the Cookify website. Cookify is the data controller for these services.

Information we collect

• Account, authentication, support, and contact information.
• Ingredient photos, prompts, generated recipes, saved cookbook items, recipe history, and chef chat context.
• Dietary preferences, cooking skill, kitchen equipment, serving defaults, units, and notification preferences.
• Subscription, purchase validation, device, performance, security, and usage signals.

Photos, prompts, and AI processing

Photos, prompts, recipe context, and chat messages are processed to recognize ingredients, generate recipes, answer cooking questions, apply safety checks, and deliver the requested result. Cloud and AI providers may process this data on our behalf.

• Unsaved temporary content is deleted or anonymized when it is no longer technically needed.
• Saved recipes, preferences, and history may remain until you delete them or close your account.
• Chef chat is limited to cooking, recipes, ingredients, substitutions, kitchen equipment, food planning, and nutrition.

Your rights and security

Depending on your location, you may request access, correction, deletion, restriction, portability, or object to processing. Delete your account in the app settings or email privacy@cookify.app.

• We use encryption in transit and access controls.
• Cookify is not directed to children under 13.
